"What's for breakfast" was not selected for the local art show. I picked it up this morning and will drop it in for selection to the much larger and more prestigious Mosman Art Prize next week, and we'll see how that goes.
The bottom line for me is that I like the painting and the worst case scenario is I end up hanging it here at home, which would be just fine with me :)
