When I arrived at South Curl Curl Beach this morning for my morning walk (to Dee Why and back), there were a lot of people and cars, all looking out to sea, and I quickly found out why – a pod of around 40 dolphins playing in the surf! I have never seen dolphins in the wild before, and I’ve never been more grateful to have my camera with me
I’m also grateful I changed to a new camera with a 36x zoom! I have even more respect for wildlife photographers now, though – out of well over 100 shots, about 4 are worth sharing, and even they are a bit out of focus. Still, it was an incredible experience to see them and it really reminded me how wonderful our planet is and how we really do need to treat it better.
